Agal vilakku is a small earthen vessel made up of natural clay. People are commonly burn the agal vilakku ( raw lamp ) by using oil in it. But in this lamp pure ghee is used instead of oil, now this is made by Terracotta clay. The oil lamp is used in the Hindu ritual of Aarti.
