Microcontroller based digitally controlled PWM technology based solar charge controller and regulator of 12.8V-10 amps with inbuilt protections and 12V battery charging feature for LiFePo4, Lithium Ion and Lead Acid type batteries of upto 12.8V. Specially designed for recharging LiFePo4 and Li-Ion batteries that should not be charged by normal solar charge controllers used for lead acid type 12V batteries as it can damage the battery permanently by under charging, voltage differences that may ultimately reduce the cycles of the battery.
Solar charge controller can be connected to a maximum of 30W solar panel with VOC of upto 19V and a battery bank of 12.8V. The controller features a smart tracking algorithm that maximizes the energy harvest from the PV and also provides load control to prevent over discharge of the battery. There are a number of protections that the solar charge controller ensures. Solar charger controller stops reverse current flow from battery to solar array, it provides load short circuit protection, solar charge controller provides battery/panel reverse protection through DC fuse and Overload protection also. Additionally solar charge controller has a 5V USB which is suitable for recharging smartphones and other 5V devices.
