The Thermocouple is a sensor made up of two wires with two different metals connected at two points.
The voltage between the two wires reflects the change in temperature. Although the accuracy can be slightly lower than an RTD, they have the most extensive temperature range from -200 °C to 1750 °C and are generally more cost-effective.
This produces a temperature-dependent voltage and this voltage can be interpreted to measure temperature.
