A spray nozzle is a precise device that allows liquid to be dispersed into a spray. Nozzles provide three functions: they disperse a liquid across an area, they enhance the surface area of a liquid, and they produce impact force on a solid surface. Spray nozzles are classified depending on the amount of energy utilized to create atomization or the breaking up of the fluid into droplets. Spray nozzles can have one or more outputs; a compound nozzle has numerous openings. Spray balls, which have been used in the brewing business for many years to clean casks and kegs, feature several outputs on nozzles.
