There is an Emirati tradition to give a brew out of Habba Al Hamra to women who just gave birth. A thick soup mixture contains red seeds, flour, butter, sugar and spices. This mix is tasty if mixed well, helps digestion, cleans the stomach of wastes and toxins, normalize weight and metabolism. However, pregnant women should not drink it as it may increases the risk of miscarriage.
Haba Al Hamra in arabic means red seed. In UAE these seeds are very popular based on its huge health benefits, it is full of iodine, calcium phosphorus, iron, manganese, and vitamins A, B, B2, C, and E.
