Drilling bit for wood with an auger bit. One tang portion with a hexagonal shank for a secure hold in the chuck, with an extra 15 mm long section with four flat sides appropriate for hand braces. Lacquered for corrosion resistance. Spirals in the Levin pattern Chrome-Vanadium (CrV) steel is used.The screw tip drags the drill through into the workpiece, whereas the enormous flutes aid in chip and degreasing.
