LDO is recommended for slow-speed diesel engines used in agriculture pump sets. LDO is also used as a fuel in furnaces, boilers, Air pre-heaters, Fertilizer plants, Bunker, and DG sets, where low sulphur fuel is required. LDO is preferred by most of the manufacturers because of its high calorific value, absence of inorganic acid, very little ash content, and low carbon residue. LDO is one of the best heating oil available in India.
