Weicon Gasket Maker is an adhesive, permanently elastic special sealant which hardens practically shrink-free due to humidity. Gasket Maker adheres very well to steel, aluminium, glass, ceramics and many other materials. Gasket Maker has excellent temperature, oil and grease resistance, is pressure-resistant, UV-stable, resistant to ageing and permanently elastic.
The special sealant can be used on motors and water pumps, transmissions and axles, oil pans and much more. The special sealant consists of 1-component polysiloxane (acetate) and has a temperature resistance of -60 to +280°C (short. [approx. 2h] +300°C). The sealant hardens when exposed to moisture with a skin |mation time (at 50% relative humidity and 23°C) of 7-12 minutes.
The maximum bridging of the adhesive gap is 5 mm with a maximum joint width of 25 mm.
