The use of inlet filter from Philips Respironics in oxygen concentrator is to extend the lifespan of the medical device. Inlet filter processes air as it enters the Everflo oxygen concentrator. It needs to be replaced on an average once a year.
This filter ensures that the oxygen is filtered thoroughly before delivering it to the patient of sleep apnea. To increase the efficiency and life of the Philips oxygen concentrator, this filter has to be replaced after every 5000 hours.
This reduces the load on the machine and there by reduces power consumption. This filter should be replaced as necessary, on average every 1- 2 years.
