Steam flow metres aid in the evaluation of system performance by providing relevant data for analysing boiler performance, estimating boiler efficiency, and measuring the quantity of steam required by the system. Steam flow metres are used in some systems to provide a measuring signal to the boiler management system. When steam condenses, the water droplets combine to form two-phase flow, which is a combination of steam and water. The presence of water interferes with the flow measurement's accuracy. Coriolis flowmeters may be used to measure flow in the presence of dry steam.
