Red chilies usually blended with curries, dals, meats, poultry, sprinkled on raw mangoes along with table salt. Used as needed to make dishes spicy. It is used as a spice to add pungency or piquancy and flavor to dishes. Slightly sharp and a little earthy with a decent dose of spicy.

Crushed red chililies also known as red pepper flakes are those hot little specks we all love sprinkling over our pizza, pasta, noodles, and avocado toast.
