The Wedge Anchor, also known as a Sleeve Anchor or a Through Bolt Anchor, is designed to be inserted through the work piece. This reduces time during installation by minimising alignment problems and provides an extremely efficient retention mechanism for fastening to concrete and stone. Its robust fastening action allows for frequent removal and replacement of the nut without causing the anchoring to deteriorate.

The clip is crushed when the bolt is forced into the fixing hole, ensuring a tight interference fit. When torque is applied to the nut, the tapered part of the bolt retracts through the clip, which expands to form a quick and permanent grip.
